Arthur P. Boudreau

Arthur P. Boudreau

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Arthur P. Boudreau, 86 years old, from Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He was the son of the late Henri-Jean Boudreau and the late Josephine (LeFort) Aucoin.

He is survived by his sisters, Giselle (Robert) Urquhart, Dundee, and Linda (late Bernie) Beaton, Little Judique;  his brother, Gilles (late Janis) Aucoin, Calabogie, Ont.

He is also survived by his goddaughter, Lianne (Brian) Larade, (with whom he resided before moving to the Foyer), and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Emile (late Barb); and sister, Laurette (late Matt) Kohut.

Arthur enjoyed a quiet life, the outdoors and hockey being his favorite pastimes. He was a loyal Montreal Canadian fan. He spent much time at the rink, cheering on local teams, or traveling to neighboring rinks with Kenneth, Lianne’s son, who was a hockey referee. Arthur was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and enjoyed playing and volunteering at Bingo.

We wish to thank the staff of the Foyer Père Fiset for the compassionate care they gave Arthur, and for being so welcoming to his family. Donations in his memory can be made to the Foyer Père Fiset or the Cape Breton Cancer Patient Care Fund. Funeral will be celebrated a later date.
