November 7, 1965 – February 28, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Celeste Deveau, who passed away peacefully, at the age of 59, on February 28th at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre. A warrior through and through, she battled heart and pulmonary issues with incredible strength and resilience, never allowing them to define her spirit.
Celeste was a woman whose greatest joy was seeing others happy. She poured her love into everything she did, especially through the kitchen, where she found her true calling in cooking. The warmth of her meals was only surpassed by the warmth of her heart and her love and devotion for her husband and children. A woman of boundless generosity, she lived for others and made the world a better place simply by being in it.
Predeceased by her older brother Bobby (Aucoin) and mother Lucy Jane (Aucoin), Celeste is survived by her husband Real and their three daughters, Brittany (Evan) Cormier, Kaylee (Emma) and Shelby.
Celeste may have left this world, but she will forever be remembered for her kindness, her fierce love, and her legacy of bringing people together, one meal at a time.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the whole staff at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, especially Dr Amélie, Dr Kassy, Dr Marcel, Dr Michel and Dr Paul as well as Moira and the whole Palliative Care Unit for the extraordinary care she has received over the past several years. Memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Hospital Charitable Foundation.
Funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 7th, 2025 at 10:30 am in St Joseph’s Church, St Joseph du Moine with Father Bill Burke officiating.

Im so sorry for Real and her daughters to read that she has passed. She was roomates with my father as they both prepared for cardiac surgery in Halifax and they became fast friends. While she was worried for herself she was equally worried for him. She kept in touch for years following that. My heart aches for you. Nice to think that they are roomates again but hopefully in a much nicer place this time.
