Cheticamp: It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, Corey James Pierre Timmons at the young age of 40, on Friday, September 27, 2024 due to a massive heart attack. He was currently working in Inuvik, N.W.T.
Corey James Pierre Timmons was the first-born child to Roger and Lucille (Larade) Timmons. Corey was a loving son and an amazing big brother to both Hillary and Jonathan. Corey had a heart of gold and loved going on adventures to see the world. He was a leader and a coach to many young tradesmen. He forged his own path in life and worked his way across every province and territory from coast to coast to coast across Canada. He loved the outdoors and living life to the fullest. He made his own path and stood tall on what he believed in. Corey was a true friend and was always there for you no matter what was going on in his life. Corey was one of a kind, irreplaceable.
He had a passion for the North and everything it had to offer. Always looking for the next big adventure. He would fill with excitement when he had the opportunity to explore a new territory. His other passion was hockey and was a true die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Corey will never be forgotten and will always stay close watching over his family and friends. Besides his parents, Corey is survived by his son, Jayden James Timmons; brother, Jonathan William Timmons; and sister, Hillary Ann Timmons (Bruno Chiasson); and nieces and nephews, Carson Ingraham, Brielle Chiasson, Hailey Timmons, and Emma Timmons.
Corey was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Pierre Theodore and Germaine Larade; and paternal grandparents, Ned and Marjorie Timmons.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 am in St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp with Father Silvichan Dominic officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Gofundme page set up by Crystal MacPherson or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
