Age 83, resident of Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp, formerly from Belle Cote, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023 with her family by her side. Emma Cecile was a daughter of the late Daniel William and the late Margaret (Arsenault) Chiasson.
Emma Cecile is survived by her brother, Marcellin (Yvette) Chiasson; sister, Isabel (John) MacLellan; and several nieces and nephews, Denise Olson, Marcel (Joann) Olson, Gregory Torres (godson), William “Bill” Torres, Donald A. MacLellan, Gary D. MacLellan, Linda M. MacLellan, Lynn (Harold) AuCoin, and Denise Chiasson.
Besides her parents, Emma Cecile was predeceased by her sisters, Evangeline Torres, and Yvonne Olson; and nephew, Francis Torres.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2023 in St. Michael’s Church, Margaree from 9:30 am until time of funeral mass at 11:00 am with Father Silvichan Dominic officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Hospital Palliative Care, St. Michael’s Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
