Age 74 of Chéticamp, passed away on February 18, 2019 in Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Chéticamp. Born in Chéticamp, he was a son of the late Donald and Margaret (MacLellan) Fraser. Pat was a loving husband, father, a proud pépère, and uncle. He was a very proud Canadian and served for over 30 years in the Armed Forces. He felt much pride in saying that his father was in the Navy, his brother D.A. was in the Army , so he opted to join the Air Force making it “The Trio”. Pat served over 30 years with the RCAF in Communications retiring with rank of Sergeant. This took him to various bases in Canada and abroad where he enjoyed visiting many parts of the world. Retiring to his hometown of Chéticamp, Pat kept informed on world events and liked to share his opinions in political affairs. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 32, Chéticamp and often volunteered with ceremonies on Remembrance Day. He will be dearly missed. Survived by his wife Suzanne (Syvrais) Fraser; sons, Steve Gagné, Darrell Fraser; daughters, Sylvie Gagné Pluta, Charlene (Fraser) Hines; sisters, Alice Clark, Sylvia Hurely, Jessie Sharon Fraser; grandchildren, Xavier, Léa, Cammie. Predeceased by brother, D.A. Fraser; sisters, Bernice in infancy, Kay Ingraham, Diane Cononco, Pauline Killeen. Visitation will be held at Cheticamp Funeral Home on Friday, February 22nd from 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. in Église Saint-Pierre, Chéticamp with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Foyer Père Fiset.
