Age 51, Cheticamp: It is with very sad hearts that we are announcing the passing of our brother, Joey which occured on August 12, 2022 at the QE11, Halifax. He is the son of Henry and the late Germaine (Harris) Ludyka. Joey was born in Westmount and then moved to Cheticamp in 2003 where he resided till now.
Left to mourn and miss him terribly are his sisters, Veronica (Mark) Poirier, Cheticamp, and Nicole (Andy) Sepaul, East Hanover, New Jersey; his one nephew, Darren; and three nieces, Denise (his rock), Bethany, and Tabitha; two great nieces, Daniella and Jenna, and three great nephews, Hunter, Leo, and Keenan. He will also be missed by his Green Door family who took very good care of Joey and who will always have a special place in our hearts.
Joey was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Isabel (Chiasson) Ludyka, and maternal grandparents, John and Clothilde (Ivy) Harris; and a brother at infancy.
Joey will be waked at the Christian Community Church of Cheticamp, in Point Cross on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 2-4 and 5-8:30 pm, followed by funeral service at 8:30 pm with Pierre Chiasson officiating. Cremation to follow and burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joey’s memory may be made to the Green Door Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Gone but Never Forgotten. Joey, we love you and miss you so.
