Age 63, Cheticamp passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Gelas was a son to the late Simeon G. and the late Lorraine (Larade) LeBrun.
As a young man, Gelas liked to help his mother all the time. He fished with his stepfather and loved every minute of it as well as driving his ATV’s. Gelas had a love for life. He was a soft hearted and kind man and would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He had so much love for his son and family, and I adored him for it. He was my one true love and soulmate. “I loved you a thousand years, I will love you a thousand more.”
Gelas is survived by his wife, Tina (O’Toole) LeBrun; and son, Glen LeBrun, Cheticamp; sisters, Josephine Poirier, Cheticamp and Rebecca LeBrun, Sydney; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gelas was predeceased by his step-father, Wilfred Deveaux; brothers, Joseph LeBrun and George LeBrun.
Memorial donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
