Age 82 of Cheticamp, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026 in the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Marcel was a son of the late Paul LeFort and the late Katie Mae Larade.
Marcel is survived by his wife, Linda M. LeFort; and his son, Sheldon S. LeFort; brothers, Severin LeFort, Cheticamp, Pierre Paul LeFort (Bernice), Cheticamp, and Alphonse LeFort (Sylvia), Mississauga, Ont.; sister, Sylvia Poirier, Cheticamp; and half sister, Yvette Chiasson (Tommy), Cheticamp.
Besides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by his sister, Emelie MacGregor, Kingarden, Ont.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Cheticamp with Father Daniel Gustave officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
