Age 82, Cheticamp passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. She was the daughter of the late Louis Leo and the late Mary Catherine (Doucet) Cormier.
Marguerite is survived by her son, Gerry (Wanda) Chiasson, Antigonish; daughters, Paulette Chiasson and Debbie Chiasson, both of Halifax; step-sister, Bernice (Pierre Paul) LeFort; grandchildren, Scott, Lauren, and Daniel.
Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by her first husband, Gerard Chiasson and her second husband, Russel Doucet; brothers, Bernie Cormier, and Leonard Cormier; and sister, Annie Blanche Roach.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM in l’Église St. Pierre, Cheticamp with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
