Age 63, Kinsmen Heights, Cheticamp passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 in the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Michael was the son of Dorine (Camus) and the late Pierre Louis Larade. Besides his mother Michael is survived by his wife Dauphine Camus; and son Jeremy Larade (Elise). He is also survived by brothers, Stanley (Geraldine), Leo (Susan), Roger (Brenda), Robert (Yvette), and Hayden (Barb); sisters, Marie Stella (Sam), Linda ( Alister), Nancy (George), and Madeline (Peter). Michael was predeceased by two sisters Isabelle and Odette.
Many thanks to the Whycocomagh First responders and the staff at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital. A celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Senior Citizen’s Hall, Cheticamp.

Michael, Maurice (Cormier) and I lived together for a few months in the winter of 1980/81 in “La vielle maison A Poli-cape” just off “Le Pond Du Bras” Cheticamp. I had known Michael beforehand but never truly enjoyed his “joie de vivre” until then. Last summer after twelve years away from home, I went up to Kinsmen Heights to see him.
