Mina Marie Poirier

Mina Marie Poirier, Age 87. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mom which occurred on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Foyer Pere Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp. She was a daughter of the late Roderick (Roddie) and Marie (Poirier) Deveaux. She will be sadly missed by sister, Julianne Roach; sons, Yvon, Halifax; Jules (Pauline), Cheticamp, Stanley, Cheticamp, Alexis (Angela), Cheticamp; daughters, Honora, Cheticamp, Julia(Peter), Judique; Stella (Daniel), Cheticamp; Monique, Ottawa; Simonne (André), Cheticamp and Jacqueline (Rhéal), St. Joseph Du Moine. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Georgina Poirier, 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Melvin; son, Ernest; sister, Marie Rose Trigley; brothers, Léo, Simon, Clary and Thomas; grandson, Mathew. Visitation will be held in Cheticamp Funeral Home on Thursday, January 11th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 12th, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Cheticamp with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Foyer Père Fiset Recreational Dept. Funeral is under the direction of Cheticamp Funeral Services Ltd.
