Robert “Bobby” Doucet

Robert “Bobby” Doucet

Age 51, Cheticamp – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Robert “Bobby” William Doucet, at home on Sunday, September 18, 2022. Born in Toronto on October 2, 1970, his family moved back to Cheticamp in 1977. Cheticamp was where Bobby grew up, never leaving and would forever be called home.

He is survived by his partner of 31 years, Debbie Fraser; mother, Beatrice (Deveau) Doucet, Cheticamp; sister, Cathleen (Cory) Chiasson, Cheticamp; brother, Curtis (Cynthia) Doucet, Port Hawkesbury; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Claudie Doucet.

Bobby bled, blue and white. He was a passionate Toronto Maple Leafs fan his entire life. If you knew only one thing about Bobby, it was that. A close second, was gaming. He enjoyed being able to connect with his friends near and far. Whether it was to make them laugh with a quick one liner or his many comebacks, going as far as getting a few friends riled up for the sake of a good laugh. He did it all in the name of having fun. Bobby will be missed by all.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a local charity of your choice.

A very special thank you to the First Responders and Paramedics, who gallantly tried to save Bobby’s life, as well as the RCMP of Cheticamp who went far and beyond their duties as police officers.
