Tommy Robert Timmons

Age 82, of North East Margaree passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Foyer Père Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp. Tommy was the son of the late Clarence and the late Bertha (Timmons) Timmons.

Tommy worked most of his life at Midway Motors in Middle River, doing what he loved the most, driving tow trucks and working on cars. In his early years, he worked in the woods cutting pulp for B.A. Fraser. He was an usher at St. Patrick’s Church for over 30 years. Tommy may well have been best known for the love and admiration he had for his wife of 62 years, Helen, and his children and grandchildren.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Helen (Hannigan) Timmons; sons, Thomas Jr. (Tommy) Timmons, Philip (Lisa) Timmons, and Clarence (Ginette) Timmons; daughters, Julia (Mike) Campbell, and Shelly (Bruce) Poirier; sisters, Sarah, Catherine and Mabel; grandchildren, Stacey, Corey, Logan, Marcus, Murray, Holly, MacKenzie, Tomas, Rebecca, Jackson, and Christopher; great grandchildren, Hannah, Charlotte, James, and Hazel.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a great grandchild, William.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Patrick’s Church, North East Margaree with Father Silvichan Dominic officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Tommy’s memory to the Foyer Père Fiset.

  2. Very sorry to hear of Tommy’s passing. I have many memories of working with Tommy at Midway over the years. It’s been many years since I’ve seen him but will always remember his laugh and how positive he was. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
