Age 76 of Pleasant Bay passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at home. Wayne was a son to the late Ernest Kenneth and the late Elizabeth (MacIntosh) Timmons.
Wayne was born in Cheticamp, just days before the big Pleasant Bay fire. Wayne was a fisherman for the majority of his working life. He was a founding member of the Pleasant Bay Volunteer Fire Department, and proudly served his community. He loved hunting, playing crib, plowing snow and music. He loved his family and friends, his pets, and especially his children and grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his partner, Sylvia M. Aucoin; son, Dwayne Russell Timmons (Nicole Jackson); daughter, Pamela Gail (Kevin) O’Toole; sisters, Jean Rose Moore and Loretta O’Brien; grandchildren, Turner O’Toole, Avery O’Toole, and Arthur Jackson-Timmons.
Besides his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his wife, Sandra Gail Brown; his son, David Brown; brothers, Elmer Timmons, Stewart Timmons, Russell Timmons, Wendall Timmons, Francis Timmons, and Arnold Timmons; sister, Georgina Roberts.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew’s United Church, Pleasant Bay with Rev. Peter Rioux officiating. Burial to follow in the Pleasant Bay Cemetery, Pleasant Bay.
