Age 85, of Cheticamp, passed away on January 20, 2018 in Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Inverness he was the son of the late Fidel Deveaux and Adèle (Poirier) Deveaux. Wilfred was a good husband, father, brother, uncle, pépère, papi and friend. He will be greatly missed by friends and family and all who were blessed to have known him. Wilfred is survived by his wife Adrienne (Gaudet) Deveaux; son, Fidel Deveaux; daughter Calista (Ron) Roach; grandchildren Raven Pearl Roach, Shaun William Roach (Brandy Bennett); great-grandchildren Marco and Marcus and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Paul Deveaux and Placide Deveaux; sisters, Evelyn Romard, Julie Anne Venstrupen, Marie Adèle Chiasson, Zabeth Deveaux. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:30am in Église Saint-Pierre, Cheticamp with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Autism Nova Scotia.
