We are saddened to announce the passing of Mathilde Chiasson, 89 of Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home in Ch\u00e9ticamp which occurred on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Guest Home. Born in Ch\u00e9ticamp on September 21, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Daniel \u201cP\u2019tit Den\u201d and Anita (LeBlanc) Chiasson. Mathilde worked many years in the laundry department at l\u2019H\u00f4pital Sacr\u00e9 Coeur. She was a very religious and spiritual person, always lending a helping hand to her church until she was no longer able to. She loved a good game of cards, visits from family and friends. She lived her last 3 years at the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home. Many thanks to the administration and dedicated employees who care for our aging population with utmost dignity. Mathilde is survived by her brother, Jimmy Chiasson residing at Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home; sister-in-law, Jeanette (LeBlanc) Chiasson; special nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Chiasson, Placide Chiasson and Patsy Chiasson; sister, Sr. Lucie Chiasson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 7-9 p.m. in Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9 a.m. in \u00c9glise Saint-Pierre, Ch\u00e9ticamp with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home or to a charity of choice.
