Age 47,Grand-\u00c9tang. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, Joanne at the Cobequid Community Health Centre, Lower Sackville on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. Joanne was the daughter of Linda (AuCoin) and Michel Larade, Grand-\u00c9tang. Joanne was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy at the early age of nine and was confined to a wheelchair at twelve years old. Her parents took good care of her until she went to Sagewood Continuing Care. Joanne\u2019s sickness never stopped her from being active at what she could do. She will be dearly missed and we will remember her forever in our hearts. Besides her parents, she is survived by her brother David (Debbie) Larade, step-niece, Camillia. She was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Yvonne and Noel AuCoin and paternal grandparents, Antoinette and Peter Larade. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers for the excellent care given to Joanne during her stay at Sagewood. We would also like to thank the Muscular Dystrophy Association for all their help throughout the years. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cheticamp Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph\u2019s Church, St. Joseph du Moine with Father Peter LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
