Age 78. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Sylvia LeBlanc. Sylvia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 20, 2019 in the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Sylvia was born October 10, 1940, in Ch\u00e9ticamp. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Adele Deveaux. An avid quilter, Sylvia enjoyed making quilts for family, friends, and community organizations. M\u00e8m\u00e9re was happiest when making a fresh batch of rolls, meat pies, or a pot of fricot for a house full of family. She is survived by her children Mark LeBlanc, East Margaree; Noella (Lauchie) Mackinnon, Margaree Harbour; Roy (Gloria) LeBlanc, Florida; Colette (Tommy) Murphy, Fordview; brothers, Alfred (Amelia), Arthur (Anna), Roy (Regina); sister, Annie Rose. She was a proud M\u00e8m\u00e9re to Shana, Stacey, Ashley, Carrie, Malory, Brandon, John L., Nolan, and Malcolm, who will miss her dearly; and a beloved Grand-M\u00e8m\u00e9re to Kobe-Grace, Bryan Thomas, and Jada.<\/p>\n
She is predeceased by husband Joseph \u201cJoe Wilfred\u201d LeBlanc, siblings; Leonard, Lawrence, Edna, and Lorraine; grandchildren, John Ronald and Joseph Anthony in infancy.<\/p>\n
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael\u2019s Church, East Margaree on Saturday, May 25, 2019, with Father Macdonald Ibeh officiating.
