Age 94. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Em\u00e9lie Burns of Ch\u00e9ticamp, N.S. on September 11th, 2019 at the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset. Born in K\u00e9nogami, Qu\u00e9bec on November 30th, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Alex Beaudry and the late Philom\u00e8ne (Deveau) Beaudry.<\/p>\n
Through the years, Em\u00e9lie enjoyed travelling with her husband and friends, having travelled to Europe, Hawaii, Florida and to different islands in the south. While home, she enjoyed bowling (having been the captain of her team for years). She particularly enjoyed receiving her family for Sunday suppers.<\/p>\n
Before moving to the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset, she could always be seen sitting by her window in her rocking chair watching and waving to people passing by. At the Foyer, Em\u00e9lie participated in all activities almost to the end especially exercises and jigsaw puzzles.<\/p>\n
She will be sadly missed by her two sons, Louis Paul (Patricia), Ch\u00e9ticamp, Andr\u00e9 (Estelle), Sh\u00e9diac, N.B.; her daughter, Noella Chiasson, Ch\u00e9ticamp; her grandchildren, Wanda, Shelly, Lisa, Bruce, and Tanya; seven great-grandchildren, Shannon, Dylan, Bryanna, Korall, MacKenzie, Alex and Patrick; three sisters, Lucienne (L\u00e9o), Halifax, Georgette and Marie Louise, also of Halifax and also nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
She was predeceased by her first husband Henri Aucoin (1965); her second husband, Edmond Burns (2009); her eldest son, Joseph Hubert,(2018); daughter-in-law, Carmella AuCoin, (2015) and three grandsons , Gregory AuCoin, (1972), Roger Aucoin,(1992) and Ricky Chiasson, (2017).<\/p>\n
At the request of the family, there will be no viewing. Funeral mass will be held at \u00c9glise Saint-Pierre in Ch\u00e9ticamp at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17th, 2019, with Father Pierre Antoine St. Cyr officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. A luncheon will be served at la salle du Club des retrait\u00e9s after the funeral for friends and family.<\/p>\n
