Age 80, East Margaree. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our mother, sister and grandmother, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. She was the daughter of Mary Anna (Dumaresq) LeBlanc, Margaree, and the late Albert J. LeBlanc.<\/p>\n
Those who met Mom and got to know her will likely never forget her. Mom had a joy for life. She enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, and making puzzles with her family and friends. She was active in supporting community groups by giving them her homemade mitts, quilts, pillows, pies and jams. Many mittens were freely given to charitable organizations. Mom enjoyed going to community concerts to listen to the locals sing. Mom\u2019s door was always open to everyone. Despite her numerous battles with cancer, her faith in God gave her great comfort. She will be lovingly remembered as a devoted Mom and caring grandmother.<\/p>\n
Besides her mother, Helen is survived by her sons, Wayne (Linda), Antigonish, Clifford (Marie), Ontario, and Harvey, East Margaree; daughters, Phyllis (Calvin) MacMillan, P.E.I., Marion, Saulnierville, and Rovena, Antigonish; brother, Charlie (Diane); brother-in-law, Malcolm MacNeil; sister, Sylvia; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Bryanne, Dominic, Gis\u00e8le, Melissa, Hailley, Anna Marie, Alex, Curtis, and Travis. She was predeceased by her husband, Moise A. LeBlanc; brother Charlie; and sister, Martina MacNeil. A graveside service will be held at St. Michael\u2019s Cemetery, East Margaree.
