Our dear husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, R\u00e9n\u00e9 Gaudet, passed away peacefully, in the presence of his family, at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp, on Sunday, July 12<sup>th<\/sup>, 2020. He was the son of the late Joseph and the late Marie Jeanette (Roche) Gaudet.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00e9n\u00e9 worked as a carpenter for more than 60 years. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, trapping and most of all, he loved driving all around Cheticamp 2 to 3 times a day with his lovely wife of 60 years, Marie.<\/p>\n<p>Besides his wife Marie, he is survived by sons, Bruno (Lise), and William; brothers, Jean-Paul and Yvon; sisters, Adrienne, Geraldine, and Bibianna; grandchildren, Jason and April; great grandchildren, Braydon, Liam, Hunter, Jake, and Fynn. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lynn Basker; son-in-law, Wesley Basker; grand-daughter and her husband, Megan and Jaymie MacMullin.<\/p>\n<p>Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Cheticamp, with Father Pierre Antoine St. Cyr officiating.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Age 80, Cheticamp.
