She was a daughter of the late Lubin and the late Mathilda (Ramard) LeBlanc.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly of St. Joseph du Moine, she was a resident of the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset since 2004. She was known for working countless hours on her knitting, rug hookings and homemade buns (des p\u2019tit pains). She made it a point of taking care of her family and was so proud of her grandkids.<\/p>\n<p>Marie Sophie is survived by sons, Cyril (Tammy) Deveau, Real (Celeste) Deveau, Michel (Diane) Deveau, and Joel (Lynn) Deveau; daughter, Paulette (Christopher) Deveau; brothers, Lionel LeBlanc, Michel LeBlanc, and Linus LeBlanc; sisters, Marie Marguerite LeBlanc and Bernice MacCallum; grandchildren, Justin, Brittany (Evan), Kaylee (Hannah), Shelby, Carson, Pierre, and Matthieu.<\/p>\n<p>Marie Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Pierre Deveau; and brother Joseph Fidel LeBlanc.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation at the Cheticamp Funeral Home on Thursday, October 29, 2020, with visiting hours from 7-9 PM. Masks and social distancing are required. A funeral mass will be celebrated (for family and invited guests) on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:30 AM at \u00c9glise St. Joseph, St. Joseph du Moine with Father Pierre Antoine St. Cyr officiating.
