Age 73, Grand-\u00c9tang, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Ch\u00e9ticamp.<\/p>\n
Alex John was a son of the late Conrad and the late Rose Anne (Poirier) LeLi\u00e8vre.<\/p>\n
Alex John loved sports, namely golf, football, hockey and playing, coaching, and refereeing hockey. He was known for his crooked smile and his squinty, weepy eyes. Alex John loved the outdoors. He was a long-standing employee with Alva Construction Ltd for 55 years. He was dedicated to his family and had enormous love for his children and grandchildren. He loved teaching his granddaughter and grandsons how to golf. He enjoyed his weekly cruises; had 2 baseball caps of every color, enjoyed playing golf and his trips to Florida with his friends. He always said that every new pair of boots were going to be his last pair before retiring\u2026 10 years later. Alex John loved tools, the Canadian Tire flyer and his garage. He would buy every Christmas ornament that sang or moved. Alex John had a not so amazing sense of direction, loved his craft beer and toothpicks, and loved nice flower beds. He was a man of great strength, had a big heart, and a love for life.<\/p>\n
Besides his wife Shelley, he is survived by his son Aurel (Pauline) LeLi\u00e8vre; daughters, C\u00e9leste (Jo\u00ebl) Chiasson, and Jennifer (Rhonda) LeLi\u00e8vre; brothers, Clifford (Lucille) LeLi\u00e8vre, and Marcel (Annette) LeLi\u00e8vre; sisters, Patricia Aucoin, Doris Broussard, Annie Belle (Bob) Simpson, and Geraldine LeLi\u00e8vre; grandchildren, Avery LeLi\u00e8vre, Eli Chiasson, and No\u00e9 Chiasson. He was predeceased by his wife Jeanne LeLi\u00e8vre (1999); brothers, Willie Joe LeLi\u00e8vre (1971), and Denis LeLi\u00e8vre (1990); grandson, Benjamin LeLi\u00e8vre (2005).<\/p>\n
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 10:30am in l\u2019\u00c9glise St. Joseph, St. Joseph du Moine, (by invitation only) with Father Pierre Antoine St. Cyr officiating.
