It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother and nanny, Rita, on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, in the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Rita was a daughter of the late Ernest and the late Alma (Foug\u00e8re) Covin. She was born and raised in West Arichat until she married the love of her life Frank, whom with, she had 47 wonderful years. They moved to Cheticamp to be near their children and grandchildren, where she remained until her passing. Mom (Nanny) will always be remembered for her sense of humor, her loving heart, her love of shiny things, and perfume. You could always find her knitting, playing cards or praying.<\/p>\n<p>Rita is survived by her sons, Donald (Lucie-Anne) Collet, and Pat (Carolin) Collet; daughters, Marie (Kenny) O\u2019Toole, and Kathy (Lloyd) Sampson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Besides her husband, Joseph Frank Collet, Rita was predeceased by son, Francis (Chickie) Collet; granddaughter, Mary Sampson; great granddaughter, Shelby Skylar O\u2019Toole; great grandson, Christopher Carson Bishop; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.<\/p>\n<p>A funeral service with be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, at 10:30 A.M. in St. Peter\u2019s Church, Cheticamp with Deacon Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Peter\u2019s Church, Cheticamp.<\/p>\n<p><em>We will love you Forever and a Day!!
