Daniel was the son of the late Auguste and the late Dora May (Harris) Poirier.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel loved trout fishing, hunting, and his little chicken farm. He was called P\u00e9p\u00e8re by many little friends. His favorite saying was\u2026worry pas.<\/p>\n<p>Besides his wife, Marie Cecile (Cormier) Poirier, Daniel is survived by son, Bruce (Shelly) Poirier; daughter, Lisa (Philip) Timmons; sisters, Mary Jane (John) Burton, Hilda Poirier (L\u00e9o Cormier), Sylvia Roach (George Reid), Stella (Barry) Reid, Dorine (Napoleon) Camus, and Ginette Poirier (Clarence Timmons); grandchildren, Christopher Poirier, and Jackson Timmons. Daniel was predeceased by a sister, Claudette MacLean.<\/p>\n<p>A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter\u2019s Parish Cemetery, Cheticamp with Deacon Gerald LeBlanc officiating.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial donations may be made to Cape Breton Cancer Patient Fund.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Age 67, Plateau, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
