He was the son of the late Wilfred and the late Marie Emma (Poirier) Aucoin.<\/p>\n<p>Roger came home from out west in 1979, and worked at different jobs, mostly carpentry. His last job was with Camille Chiasson Construction, where he worked for the last 20+ years. He was diagnosed with cancer shortly after retiring. Roger rarely complained. He had many friends. He liked his alone time and was not one to gossip or cause trouble. He was an avid Montreal fan and loved to watch all kinds of sports.<\/p>\n<p>Roger is survived by his brothers, Chester Aucoin (Ethel), and Russell Aucoin; sister, Marie Th\u00e9r\u00e8se Aucoin (R\u00e9n\u00e9); nephew, Wayne Aucoin; nieces, Denise LeBlanc (Goddaughter) (Phil), Ginette Aucoin (Marcel), Joanne Foran (Kirk), and Angela Aucoin-Fust (Attila); great-nephews, Noah, Rowan, and Eli; great-nieces, Emily, Lauryn, and Alexa.<\/p>\n<p>Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Marie Anne Aucoin.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 1:00-2:30 PM, followed by funeral service at 2:30 PM at the Cheticamp Funeral Home. Burial in St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Cheticamp.
