Born in Eel River Crossing, New Brunswick she was the youngest daughter of the late William and the late Octavie (Ploudre) Savoie.<\/p>\n<p>She was a devoted schoolteacher with many beautiful stories of her past students. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and living life to the fullest.<\/p>\n<p>Gis\u00e8le is survived by her sons, Mario (Tracey), and Jerry (Diane); daughters, Jeannine (Alfred), and Brenda (Jean Claude); sister, Eugenie (late Edgar); brothers in law, Leandre (Josephine), Eugene (Laurette), and Linus (Gis\u00e8le); sisters in law Dorothy (late Alphonse), and Sylvia (Donnie); grandchildren, R\u00e9mi (Julia), Ren\u00e9e Danielle, Jos\u00e9e (Javier), St\u00e9phane (Dan), Nicholas, Katelynn, and Maxime; great grandchild, George; and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Besides her parents, Gis\u00e8le was predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Elias LeBlanc; in laws, Edmond and Zabine LeBlanc; brothers, Denis (Fedora), and Aurel; sisters, Nora (Th\u00e9odule), Alice (Lewis), Regina (Clifford), Rolande, and Emma (Richard); brother in law, Roland; sisters in law, Corinne and Alberte.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation will be held at the Cheticamp Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 7-9 pm. A\u00a0 funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph\u2019s Church, St. Joseph du Moine with Father Silvichan Dominic officiating.
