Shirley was a daughter to the late David Miles and the late Jenny Catherine (Timmons) Hinkley.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley loved to shop and was always well dressed, with the perfect pair of shoes to match the outfit. She was known for her baking, especially her fudge. She could tell a story like no other without forgetting any details. She loved playing cards with her friends whom she loved dearly. Shirley and her husband Pierre, back in the 70\u2019s, were the ones to open the popular <em>Lick-a-Chick<\/em> in Cheticamp, now known as <em>Mr. Chicken<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley is survived by her son, Joey (Aline) Desveaux; daughters, Cindy (Fid\u00e8le) LaPierre, and Jeannie (Dwayne) Muise; brother Gregory (Marjorie) Hinkley; grandchildren, Brittany (Brad), Marco (Ashley), Michel, Logan, and Molly; great grandchildren, Braelyn, and Brydan.<\/p>\n<p>Shirley was predeceased by her first husband Pierre Desveaux, and her second husband, Andr\u00e9 Poirier; brother, Willard Hinkley; sister, Edwina (infancy); grand daughter, Hope Gayle LaPierre.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no visitation. A funeral service (for family only) will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Cheticamp Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Rioux officiating.
