On Sunday, April 21, 2024 passed away peacefully at the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp. She was a daughter of the late Ernest and the late H\u00e9l\u00e8ne (Chiasson) Chiasson.<\/p>\n
Although Marguerite was in failing health, she was so looking forward to celebrate her 98th<\/sup> birthday.. and she did it! On April 6th<\/sup>, all \u201cdolled up\u201d by her caregivers at the Foyer, she enjoyed her day with family and friends.<\/p>\n Mom was a very resilient lady. She demonstrated her strength of character when she was diagnosed with TB, and subsequently spent 18 months at the sanatorium in Point Edward, leaving behind 4 infant children.<\/p>\n She was a \u201cstay at home\u201d Mom until the age of 40, when she took employment at the Credit Union in Grand Etang, where she worked until she retired to look after her own mother.<\/p>\n Throughout her long life, Mom remained involved in church, and community, serving on numerous committees. However, Mom\u2019s main concern was always the well being of her family.<\/p>\n Marguerite is survived by her son, Roger Ramard (Bernice); daughters, Helena MacDougall (Mike), and Bernice Campbell (Dan); brother, Marcel Chiasson (Laurette); brother in law, Joseph Henri AuCoin; sisters in law, Laurette Chiasson, and Marie Jeanne AuCoin; grandchildren, Suzanne (James), Deanne (Blake), Joel (Rachael), Sonya (Mike), Krista (Jim), Jamie (Jen) and Luke; great grandchildren, Ainslie, Jacob, Sophie, Aidan, Nathan, Josie, Kara, Jenna, Krista, Nolan, Cody, Avery, Charlie, Jonah, Sadie, Nora, and Nate.<\/p>\n Besides her husband, Jim Dan Ramard, Marguerite was predeceased by her sons, Ernest and Alvin; son in law, Chris Cambell; brothers, Joseph, Felix, and Daniel; and sisters, Yvonne, Lucy Jane, Therese, and Stella.<\/p>\n A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in St. Joseph\u2019s Church, St. Joseph du Moine, with family accepting condolences from 10:00 am until time of funeral at 11:00 am, with Father Silvichan Dominic officiating.
