Age 68, Cheticamp passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Suzanne was the daughter of the late Xavier Syvrais and the late Marie-Cecile (Th\u00e9rrien) Syvrais.<\/p>\n
Suzanne was a proud military wife to her late husband, Pat Fraser, and a devoted mother to her two children, Sylvie and Steve. Suzanne found much joy in raising her family.
\nAfter years of moving between military bases, Suzanne fell in love with her husband\u2019s hometown of Ch\u00e9ticamp. They decided to settle down and build their life here.<\/p>\n
Suzanne will be remembered for her laugh and her warm smile. She knew how to make anyone feel special, which was evident while serving \u201cdes p\u2019tits caf\u00e9s\u201d to \u201cles p\u2019tites madames et les p\u2019tits monsieurs\u201d as a waitress at the Artisanale Restaurant. Suzanne loved to spend time in the kitchen (her happy place), cooking and baking while listening to music – her butter tarts were beyond compare!
\nSuzanne was a very spiritual woman who loved her family and friends deeply. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very proud M\u00e9m\u00e9re and loved her grandchildren \u201cbeaucoup beaucoup\u201d.<\/p>\n
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Suzanne is survived by her two children, Sylvie (Jan) Pluta and Steve (Janelle) Gagn\u00e9; her grandchildren Xavier, L\u00e9a, Cammie and Millie; and nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n
Besides her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her husband Pat Fraser; brothers, Daniel Syvrais, and Luc Syvrais; and sister Lyse Tripp.<\/p>\n
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 2-4 pm at Cheticamp Funeral Home, with funeral service immediately following in the funeral home.<\/p>\n
