{"id":4301,"date":"2024-09-22T19:48:01","date_gmt":"2024-09-22T22:48:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cheticampfuneralservices.ca\/?p=4301"},"modified":"2024-09-25T20:21:14","modified_gmt":"2024-09-25T23:21:14","slug":"ronnie-joseph-larade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cheticampfuneralservices.ca\/en\/ronnie-joseph-larade\/","title":{"rendered":"Ronnie Joseph Larade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ronnie Joseph Larade, age 64, of French Cove, Nova Scotia on September 22, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Cheticamp in 1960, Ronnie had fond memories of growing up as the youngest of 21 children in his close-knit French Acadian fishing community.\u00a0 Although he lived in Toronto for over 20 years, and later retired to the community of French Cove, Cheticamp was always the home of his heart.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie\u2019s family meant the world to him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Evey Lewis; children, Chris (Lisa) and Mike (Jessie).\u00a0 Ronnie\u2019s grandchildren were his heart; he will be missed greatly by Avery, Jacob, Isaac, and Blake.<\/p>\n<p>He is also survived by his loving sisters, Annette, Yvette (Paul), Madeleine (Joey), and Freda (Todd); sisters-in-law, Lucy (Ken), and Myla; brother-in-law, Robin (Susan); and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>Besides his parents, Frederick and Eulalie Larade, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jules, Pierre Louis, Robert, Napoleon, and Roger; his sisters, Lorraine, Marguerite Marie, Marie Ediana, Marie Louise and Marie Adele.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie had a generous spirit and a warmth that drew others to him.\u00a0 He was cherished by a large circle of dear friends both in Ontario and Nova Scotia who brought joy and comfort throughout his life.\u00a0 Ronnie made a lasting impact on both family and friends alike.<\/p>\n<p>Ronnie was well known for his love of the Boston Bruins and avidly watched their games.\u00a0 The only thing he liked more than when Boston won, was when they won against the Montreal Canadiens.\u00a0 He loved the music of George Jones and was known to break into a rendition of \u201cHe Stopped Loving Her Today\u201d at every opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Cremation has taken place, and visitation will occur on Sunday, September 29 from 1:30pm to 3pm at Cheticamp Funeral Home.\u00a0 We welcome both family and friends to join us in honouring and celebrating Ronnie\u2019s life.
