Age 92: Pleasant Bay passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. Jean Rose was a daughter of the late Ernest and the late Elizabeth (MacIntosh) Timmons.<\/p>\n
Born and raised in Pleasant Bay, Jean Rose was known and loved by the whole community for her loving, caring, sharing, and baking (AKA Jean, Jean the biscuit machine). She was well known for her strong faith in God and humanity as well as her ability to turn friends and caregivers into chosen family members (you know who you are).<\/p>\n
Many, many thanks to the kind and caring doctors and caregivers at the Sacred Heart Hospital.<\/p>\n
Jean Rose is survived by her sons, Daniel Moore (Marj), Winnipeg, and Harold Moore, Pleasant Bay; daughters, Joyce Mansfield (Les), Greenwood, Gloria Rankin (Neil), Troy, Edwina Moore, Halifax, and Lori Moore (Murray), Pleasant Bay; sister, Loretta O\u2019Brien, Halifax; grandchildren, Curtis, Tanis, Lesa, Cherie, Shelley, Lesley, Peter, and Jessica; and 14 great grandchildren.<\/p>\n
Besides her parents, Jean Rose was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Moore; son in law, John Rankin; brothers, Elmer, Stewart, Russell, Wendall, Francis, Wayne, and Arnold; and sister, Georgina.<\/p>\n
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 2:00 pm at St. Andrew\u2019s United Church, Pleasant Bay with Rev. Ron Nikkel officiating. Burial to follow in the Pleasant Bay Cemetery, Pleasant Bay. Family flowers only please.<\/p>\n
