Age 85, Cheticamp sadly passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and the late Marie Anne (Larade) Poirier.<\/p>\n
Mom was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and an abundance of love. She loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed listening to music, especially fiddle and country. She loved to dance and was a wonderful rug hooker. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.<\/p>\n
She was a wonderful mother to her son, Steve Poirier; daughters, Brenda Poirier (late Charles MacPhail), Sarah Poirier, Linda Snyder (late Lionel Aucoin), Hilda (Wayne Lebrun), and Anna (David Scott Podanovitch); a wonderful sister to, brothers, Jean Phillip (Yvonne) Poirier, Calixte (Sylvia) Poirier, Ferdinand (Claudette) Poirier, and Ronnie (Wilfredine) Poirier; sisters, Marie Nanon Hall, and Sylvia Poirier; grandmother to, Harvey Snyder, Sheldon Lebrun, Shawn Podanovitch, and Jennie Podanovitch; and great grandmother to, Daymon Lebrun, and Willow Lebrun.<\/p>\n
Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Poirier; and brothers, Lionel Poirier, and Rom\u00e9o (M\u00e9o) Poirier.<\/p>\n
A graveside service (for family only) will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 in St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Cheticamp.<\/p>\n
