Age 89, of Cheticamp, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025 at the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp with her family by her side. She was a daughter of the late Pitre and the late Helene (Aucoin) Poirier.<\/p>\n
She was a devoted mom, grandmother to Glen and dear friend to many. She enjoyed fiddle tunes, country music, dancing, a good game of cards, watching Montreal hockey games, home parties, and \u201cla mi-car\u00eame.\u201d In other words, mom was happy being surrounded by lots of people.<\/p>\n
She worked in various cleaning jobs and at Aucoin\u2019s Bakery for many years.<\/p>\n
She is survived by her daughters, Corinne Doucette (Eric), Paula Larade (Rene), and Della Roach, all of Cheticamp; brother, David Poirier (Hilda), Cheticamp; grandson, Glen Larade, Halifax.<\/p>\n
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul Roach; brothers, Hubert, Xavier, Alex Joe, Arthur, Anselm Alphonse, Wilfred, and Semi John; sisters, Elizabeth, Marie Flora, Annie Belle, Helene Rose, Marie Eunice, Olive, Marie Edna, and Marie.<\/p>\n
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph\u2019 Church, St. Joseph du Moine with Father Daniel Muskaray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Cheticamp. Memorial donations may be made to Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
