Age 62, of Cheticamp passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. She was the daughter of the late Alphonse Simon and the late Annette (Muise) Bourgeois.<\/p>\n
Jeannette was of very quiet nature. She worked at the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset before retiring after 17 years of service, and then last worked at the Cheticamp Co-op. She also worked as a waitress for many years in several local restaurants. Her two grandchildren, Brielle and Tyrel were her pride and joy.<\/p>\n
Jeannette is survived by her husband, Kevin Doucet; her daughter, Annette Doucet; brother, Alex (Joanne) Bourgeois; grandchildren, Brielle and Tyrel Munian; mother-in-law, Marie Stella Doucet; sister-in-law, Darlene Doucet; and her nieces, Ashley and Skylar.<\/p>\n
Besides her parents, Jeannette was predeceased by her father-in-law, Raymond Doucet; and brother-in-law, Wendell Doucet.<\/p>\n
Funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 10:30 am in St. Joseph\u2019s Church, St. Joseph du Moine with Deacon Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.<\/p>\n
