{"id":5710,"date":"2026-01-06T14:27:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-06T18:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cheticampfuneralservices.ca\/?p=5710"},"modified":"2026-01-17T14:29:04","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T18:29:04","slug":"louis-levis-boudreau","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cheticampfuneralservices.ca\/en\/louis-levis-boudreau\/","title":{"rendered":"Louis L\u00e9vis Boudreau"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>January 10, 1936 \u2014 January 6, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Louis L\u00e9vis Boudreau, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the age of 89 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Ch\u00e9ticamp, January 10, 1936 to the late Lazare and the late Esther (Aucoin) Boudreau, he married R\u00e9jeanne, December 27, 1962. His passing occurred just a few days shy of his 90th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>Louis L\u00e9vis taught most of his life to finally retire in 1992. Louis L\u00e9vis and R\u00e9jeanne spent several winters in Florida where they enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. They would then return to his beloved Ch\u00e9ticamp to spend wonderful summers with family and friends, playing golf and taking walks in his wonderful neighborhood of Plateau.<\/p>\n<p>Louis L\u00e9vis is survived by his wife, R\u00e9jeanne (Maillet) Boudreau; son, Guy (Priscille); daughter, Nadine (Michel); sisters, Marie Lorraine and Marie H\u00e9l\u00e8ne; sister-in-law, Lucille; grandson, Roch (Shania); and great-grandchildren, Gunnar and Niya, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, family and friends from all over.<\/p>\n<p>The family would like to thank the First Responders from the Cheticamp Volunteer Fire Department, Dr. Michel Chiasson and all the nurses and staff at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in Ch\u00e9ticamp and all the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney for their care and compassion in the last few days of Louis L\u00e9vis\u2019 life.<\/p>\n<p>At the family and Louis L\u00e9vis\u2019 request, there will be no funeral.
