Age 82 of Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset Guest Home, Cheticamp passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 29, 2026 in the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp. She was a daughter of the late Michael \u201cMick\u201d and the late Sarah (Kendall) Burns.
\nBefore going to the Foyer P\u00e8re Fiset, she loved going for drives in the park, hoping to see any moose, deer or bears.
\nJackie was very happy to be in the Foyer with her husband, of 56 years, Joseph Arthur. She made many friends while at the Foyer, and enjoyed playing bingo and doing crafts with her friend Dorothy. She will be missed by her family and friends. Thank you to everyone who took such good care of her. God Bless!
\nJackie is survived by her husband, Joseph \tArthur Camus; sons, Jimmy Burns (Isabel), Neil Crowe, and step-son, Kevin Camus (Jenn); daughters, Barbara Camus, step-daughters, Darlene MacIsaac (Joe), and Debbie Gosse (Gary); brother, Michael \u201cPepper\u201d Burns; and 19 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
\nBesides her parent, Jackie was predeceased by her son, Michael Camus; daughter, Charlene Camus; daughter-in-law, Dawn Crowe; and granddaughter, Skylar Crowe; brothers, John, Mike, Andrew, Frankie, and Ray Johnie \u201cMick\u201d; and sisters, Mary Ellen, Florence, Caroline, Theresa, and Marion.
\nA funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 1:00 pm in St. Peter\u2019s Church, Cheticamp with Father Daniel Gustave officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
