Marcel was a son of the late Paul LeFort and the late Katie Mae Larade.<br \/>\nMarcel is survived by his wife, Linda M. LeFort; and his son, Sheldon S. LeFort; brothers, Severin LeFort, Cheticamp, Pierre Paul LeFort (Bernice), Cheticamp, and Alphonse LeFort (Sylvia), Mississauga, Ont.; sister, Sylvia Poirier, Cheticamp; and half sister, Yvette Chiasson (Tommy), Cheticamp.<br \/>\nBesides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by his sister, Emelie MacGregor, Kingarden, Ont.<br \/>\nA private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 in St. Peter\u2019s Cemetery, Cheticamp with Father Daniel Gustave officiating.<br \/>\nMemorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Age 82 of Cheticamp, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026 in the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
