80, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on April 27, 2019 at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre in Cheticamp. Born in Cheticamp, he was a son of the late Joseph Larade and Judique Muise. André worked at the Victoria General Hospital for 27 years as paint shop supervisor. He was a devoted blood donor with 50 donations over 25 years. He enjoyed playing guitar and hunting and loved to attend bluegrass music festivals. He loved his family. André is survived by his wife Marie Gemma Aucoin; sons, Dennis (Janice) Larade, Kevin (Erica) Larade, both of Oromocto, N.B.; brothers, Leo (Lucienne) Larade, Halifax, Marcel (Sylvia) Larade, Cheticamp; sisters, Marie Sophie Roach, Marie Cecile (Sid) Malone, Marie Stella (Yvon) Michaud of Cheticamp and Marie Theresa (Walter) Creaser, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Alicha, Anthony and Thomas; great grand-child, Nora. Predeceased by brothers, Pierre-Theodore (Germaine), Alphonse (Cecile), Placide-John (aka Patsy) and Cyril (Clara); sisters, Margaret-Anne (Willie) and Beatrice (George). There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Église Saint-Pierre, Chéticamp with Deacon Gerald LeBlanc officiating. Burial in parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada or Paroisse Saint-Pierre.
