It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Margaret “Margie” Marlene Pattingale, 55, of Pleasant Bay, with her family by her side, at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp, on March 17th, 2020.
Margie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, Murray. She is survived by her children, Kenny (Jennifer), Thomas (Chelsey), Meghan (Christopher), Chester (Chelsea); grandchildren, Carter, Jace, Dawson, Kenleigh, Tanner, Easton, Faith, Nora, Joe, Jayden, and Alexis; parents, Kenneth and Wilma Timmons; brothers, Jimmy (Queenie) and Robert (Carol); sister, Doris (Eddie), and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister Rosalie.
Soaking up the sun during summer days was Margie’s favorite way to spend her days; whether it was lying on her chair behind her house or at the Church beach. Margie loved spending time with her grandchildren baking cookies and treats. One of her most peaceful hobbies to do was to sit in front of the wood stove reading a good book or working on one of her many puzzles. Margie enjoyed working at the Timmons’ store for over 30 years, she loved meeting and greeting the many faces every day.
Funeral and Memorial Service will be held in St. Andrew’s United Church, Pleasant Bay at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Patient Fund at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (Tom MacNeil) or Palliative Care at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Sacred Heart Community Health Centre for all your loving care during our difficult time.

Dear Murray and family,
I am so very sorry to hear this sad news. A group of young girls first met 35 years ago at nursing school, in Dartmouth. “Megan” as we knew her, was always the one with the beautiful smile and subtle sense of humour; I can still hear her laugh. Many days and nights all spent together, laughing, studying, crying. She couldn’t wait to get back to Pleasant Bay and you!!
Years have passed, but Marlene Tobin has been instrumental in keeping us girls all connected through social media. “The girls” have all been praying and we are all so saddened, but we know “Megan” will be watching over us all. Our time together all those years ago will never be forgotten, she’s in our hearts.
Praying for you and your family.
Sincerely,
Tracey Comeau, or as Megan called me, “Puppy Dog” because she said I had puppy dog eyes ❤️
