Delvina Camus

Delvina made her final transition on the morning of March 23rd, 2025 at the age of 88. Born in Cheticamp, Delvina was known for her strong will and determination, and her radiant smile, which lit up any room she entered. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and raising her 4 children with her husband, Rudolph. Becoming a grandmother, filled her with joy and delight. Delvina loved animals and her biggest passion was feeding and building shelters for stray cats. There was always room in her home and her heart for one more pet. After her husband’s death, Delvina joined the family at the Foyer Père Fiset, where she was cared for with loving hands until she succumbed to the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.

Delvina is survived by her sons, Wayne (Juanita), and Steve; daughter, Claudine; grandchildren, Travis, Brent, and Mandy; along with 7 great grandchildren.

Besides her mother, Emélie Camus, Delvina was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph; daughter, Odette LeFort; and sister, Vicky.

The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
